Job description
to-day operations. Includes delivery of inter-campus mail to the appropriate mailroom. Individual
is responsible for receiving deliveries, checking in packages and delivering them around
campus. The position is responsible for physical inventory checks and reports, State Vehicle
detailing and transporting for repairs. Position will also be a point-of-sale buyer for Finance and
Administrative Services. Works individually, as well as, with a team. Works with enthusiasm and
a positive spirit and maintains an attention to detail in all aspects of the job. Provides additional
support for Finance and Administrative Services at the Middletown Campus, Fauquier Campus,
the Luray Page County Center and satellite locations.
Duties of the role will include but are not limited to:
- Inter-campus mail courier
- Warehouse clerk
- Inventory clerk
- State Vehicle detailer
- Point-of-sale buyer
Compensation
The hourly pay hiring range for this position is $15.00-$21.00 per hour, however, the actual rate will be commensurate with education and/or experience. The position is part time and as such cannot exceed 29 hours per week and is not eligible for health or leave benefits. May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
- Ability to work independently in a warehouse environment while keeping multiple priorities in focus and in progress.
- Must have ability to lift and move objects that could weigh up to 50 pounds.
- Proficient in warehouse procedures, time management and must possess strong organizational skills.
- Effective technology skills including Microsoft Office, Outlook, and other educational technologies.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with ability to manage interactions with visitors, students, faculty, staff, and the public.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills with ability to tailor communication to multiple audiences.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Driver’s License or the ability to travel independently to all sites and campuses in order to carry out the duties of the role.
- Demonstrated related experience in a warehouse environment.
- Forklift Operator’s License will need to be obtained within one year of employment.
