We are looking for a qualified Bachelor's level outpatient counselor (Qualified Substance Abuse Professional II) with an LBSW or alcohol & drug certification in Alabama or a Master's level clinical therapist. Great benefits, mileage reimbursement,_ and a cell phone stipend are available. YOU would _provide outpatient services exclusively in DeKalb County for male and female adults (ages 18 and over) with substance use disorder.

Individual therapy addresses specific treatment plan goals, while small group therapy provides a supportive environment where clients can practice new behaviors and learn new ways to relate to themselves and others. The goal of our adult outpatient program is to fully support the client’s ability to meet the day-to-day challenges of sobriety by effectively using recovery skills.

This is a full-time, Monday-Thursday, 10-hours-per-day position in Fort Payne, AL.

  • Bachelor’s degree from a nationally or regionally accredited college or university in psychology, social work, community, rehabilitation, or pastoral counseling, family therapy, or other behavioral health area that requires equivalent clinical course work, AND
  • Licensed in the State of Alabama as a Bachelor Level Social Worker (LBSW) OR holds a substance abuse counselor certification credential from the Alabama Association of Addiction Counselors (AAAC), NAADAC, AADAA, or ICRC
  • Secure CPR and First Aide certification within thirty (30) days of the date of hire and maintain
  • Obtain the case management certification through the Alabama Department of Mental Health (ADMH) before completion of the probationary period, and before billing case management services
  • Valid Alabama driver’s license, proof of personal vehicle insurance, acceptable driving record and access to personal transportation to meet with clients in a variety of locations

Job Responsibilities / Essential Functions

  • Develop and implement service planning
  • Provide recovery support services
  • Identify and conduct appropriate referrals
  • Provide client, family and community education
  • Provide clinical services in individual, group, and family therapy mode
  • Willing to work with families and clients during non-traditional hours in a variety of settings including offices, schools, client’s homes, or other approved community locations
  • Consult with other staff regarding appropriate mode of treatment and interventions with clients
  • Maintain cooperative relationships with treatment community, probation department, court referral and other necessary and authorized agencies
  • Assist in provision of treatment services
  • Provide case management services
  • Fulfill periodic on-call obligations, ensuring availability during on-call service and timely, appropriate response
  • Ensure content of client file in full compliance with The Bridge Policies and Procedures, Medicaid, and contracting agency standards and regulations regarding client file data entry, quality of file content, timeliness of entries, timeliness of file updates and archiving, and timely, accurate, and pertinent documentation and corresponding billing records
  • Complete all required documentation in the electronic health record

Pay: $31,408.00 - $32,408.00 per year
