Key lead in providing cost analysis, and reporting of manufacturing financial information for Edwards’ Manufacturing Operations in Irvine. You will have the opportunity to know of products in early stages and partner with our Singapore and Cost Rica plants.

Key Responsibilities:
Analyze and interpret complex monthly financial results to identify financial issues, for Plant leaders; provide insights and make recommendations regarding possible course corrections
Analyze weekly and monthly manufacturing trends (e.g., material, labor, overhead) in partnership with Plant leaders to develop/update monthly forecasts and budgets and provide feedback
Draw findings from financial and manufacturing trend reports, synthesize information, and create presentations for management
Partner with manufacturing leaders to advise on financial impact of recent/proposed process changes
Assess system capabilities and process efficiencies, and make recommendations for enhancements and upgrades
Prepare and process month-end journal entries; prepare balance sheet account reconciliations; calculate, update, and maintain product standard cost in ERP system; gathering data and generating reports in support of manufacturing trend analysis
Assist in compliance activities (e.g., SOX, key and internal controls, fixed asset audits, physical inventory) Analyze ROI (Return on Investment) of expenditures for manufacturing projects, identify operational implications, and recommend improvements.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or relevant field
A minimum of eight years of Accounting/Finance experience (or six years of experience with a Masters)
Manufacturing and cost accounting process experience

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in MS Office Suite, including advanced Excel and related financial systems; ERP (e.g., JDE, Oracle, SP) experience

Additional Expectations:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including consultative and relationship management skills.
Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and investigative skills
Substantial understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX),
Substantial knowledge of financial concepts and principles
Expertise in own functional area and ability to coach others outside Finance.
Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
Strict attention to detail
Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels.
Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work and perform within a metrics organization and with OUS Plants
Ability to work in a team environment, including inter-departmental teams and key contact representing the department on projects.
Ability to interact with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations.
Adhere to all EHS rules and requirements and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control.

For California, the base pay range for this position is $92,000 to $131,000 (highly experienced). The pay for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience).
