This position coordinates the work of our Congregational Care ministry teams who are responsible with providing confidential care and support to the larger congregation. The coordinator is the first point of contact for congregational needs regarding prayer requests and home or hospital visitations.

This is a part time (10 hours per week) position.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and dispatch Care Team Ministers and ensure follow ups are completed

Create and maintain process for tracking Care Team needs

• Build relationships with Care Team Ministers to better understand their skills and gifts
• Coordinate memorial planning with clergy team
• Collaborate with pastoral and program staff in team-oriented workplace
• Maintain accurate records
• EXCEL
• Microsoft Word
• Google Suites, One Drive, and other online tools
• Respond to email and phone calls in a timely manner
• Handle print of materials, business cards, and mail related congregational care
• Perform data entry as related to congregational care
• Seek opportunities to improve Care Team program

Requirements

• Basic understanding of non-profit systems
• Effective communicator in both written and verbal communications
• Ability to work and collaborate with a diverse staff and to provide hospitality to the public
• Comfort in working with population who is not tech savvy
• Competence working with EXCEL, Microsoft Word, Google Suite, Calendars
• Enthusiastic, positive, optimistic approach to work and everyday life

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Experience:

• Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
