In this job, you’ll be a part of a team supporting our Income Qualified Programs (IQP) organization which delivers customer focused programs that create healthier and more resilient communities, help customers save energy, and help lower their energy bills. You will identify compliance requirements for the program portfolio, evaluate implementation plans of program requirements, and track its completion. You will help coordinate regulatory filings, manage data requests and audits.

A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright!

  • Managing compliance requirements from the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) for the IQP portfolio (such as the Energy Savings Assistance Program, CARE, FERA, Arrearage Management Plan, etc.), and working with the process owner to develop compliance narratives. Set up tracking and certification process for these compliance requirements, ensuring they are fulfilled correctly and on time.
  • Manage and develop regulatory filings such as monthly and annual reports to the CPUC. Assist with quality control for these filings.
  • Oversee and track data requests, identifying SMEs for responses, ensuring accurate and appropriate responses are provided.
  • Collaborate with Regulatory, Ethics and Compliance, and Legal teams.
Qualifications


The essentials

  • Seven or more years’ working experience in a regulatory/compliance environment.
  • Experience using project management principles/methodologies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, and Outlook).

The preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Public Policy, Liberal Arts & Sciences, Economics, Finance, or other related field.
  • Working knowledge of Income Qualified Programs and policies.
  • Experience reading, synthesizing, and writing regulatory-related documents.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with hypothesis driven approach.
  • Ability to synthesize and recommend actionable solutions for own workstream(s).
  • Experience in leading or working with cross-functional project teams.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and desire to build collaborative partnerships across internal functions.

You should know

  • This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
