Position: Strategic Commodity Manager

Primary Responsibilities

• Commodity experience with aluminum and steel; domestic and international
• Lead sourcing for supplier contracting, supplier assessment, negotiating, final sourcing and launch for steel, aluminum, and well as steel and aluminum products
• Manage Demand and Provide Forecasts to Suppliers. Follow through with suppliers as required. Assist with tactical purchasing as required.
• Support the New Product Introduction (NPI) process by ensuring the sourcing of the best suppliers at the appropriate time
• Collaborate with internal teams (Engineering, Production, Program Management, Finance, Quality, etc.) to manage supplier selection and evaluation and drive decisions in alignment with company objectives
• Manage Supplier Pricing
• Prepare, review and update monthly reports to track and forecast purchasing performance to budget, market conditions, commodity trends and forecasts, supplier performance, etc.
• Identifying and achieving cost reduction goals by collaborating with upper management
• Tracks, reports and communicates market conditions, pricing and supply trends, purchasing techniques and new products

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in appropriate discipline
• Sourcing of aluminum and steel both domestically and internationally: 3 years
• Essential negotiation and leadership skills, proactive team player, sense of responsibility, drive for results, self-motivated and goal-oriented attitude

• 8 hour shift
