Job description

RESPONSIBLE FOR:
The clinical supervisor will collaborate with the nurse manger to hold staff accountable for quality care and services using effective communication, chart audits, etc. to help improve the quality of the care that is provided in the emergency department. He/she plays a pivotal part in process improvement and assisting the staff obtain departmental goals. The clinical supervisor is responsible, along with the clinical manager , for staff recruitment, engagement, and retention. He/she will mentor and grow leaders within the department and create and maintain a collaborative team environment amongst staff, physicians, and other departments.

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Graduate of a nursing program.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Two (2) years of nursing experience in a hospital (inpatient roles) or clinical (outpatient roles) setting.
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous supervisory experience desired.
Valid BLS, ACLS, PALS, and GA Stroke certification required.
Leadership qualities that demonstrate creativity, innovation, proactive and collaborative relationship.
Participation in continuing education and maintenance of current knowledge for the care of patients in assigned unit(s).
Bachelor's degree
