Job description
Position Summary:Clinical Lab Scientist/General Laboratory Technologist encompassing all areas of a busy 24/7 hospital laboratory. Technical areas include, but are not limited to, hematology, chemistry, serology, microbiology, immunohematology, and urinalysis. Additional duties specific to section supervisor include responsibility for quality control, training, and implementation of new technologies.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited school with B.S. in a healthcare related field. Successful completion of a 1-year internship at an accredited facility. Minimum 3 years' experience as a CLS 1 preferred.
Minimum: Current State of California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) licensure.
Recommended: Associated Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) Medical Technologist licensure
Must be knowledgeable of current laboratory practices and regulations. Communication an essential skill, requiring the ability to see, hear, and speak. Must be fluent in written and spoken English. Must be able to work independently on all shifts.
