THE ROLE
Auction Technology Group North America (ATGNA) is establishing a new, dedicated Client Success team that will be responsible for retaining current clients and revenue. Client Success Managers (CSMs) will be the face of ATG to our clients and will be each client’s key resource for strategic initiatives, best practices, and escalations. We are seeking a client success manager to take on our largest portfolio of key accounts and to help establish Client Success best practices at ATG.
The Client Success Manager, SMB Accounts will be trusted with maintaining and growing ATGNA largest portfolio of clients. This role will work closely with each client in their portfolio to ensure they are leveraging ATG tools, platforms, and services as a pillar of their success and to transform their businesses. This position is open to remote consideration in all United States except New York, New Jersey and Colorado.
COMPENSATION: $120,000 Total OTE, annually
KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Quickly and effectively build trusting relationships with, and engage, assigned portfolio in a way that thoughtfully challenges their perception of what is possible, both from a business operations and strategic perspective
- At scale, develop an understanding of your portfolio’s businesses, motivations, and anticipate their next steps
- Meet and exceed monthly retention and growth targets across your assigned portfolio of >100 SMB accounts
- Assess and monitor the health of the clients in portfolio
- Identify at-risk clients, build and execute mitigation plans to eliminate risk of churn or contraction
- Identify and share the ATG platform/product best practices of wildly successful clients and share them with your portfolio to ensure your clients’ growth and success
- Help clients become loyal and raving fans of ATG; solicit references and referrals from clients to influence other current and future ATG clients
- Collaborate with cross-functional peers (Sales, Support, Product, R&D, Finance, etc) to ensure clients have a positive experience with ATG and are receiving strong return on their investment in ATG
- Assist clients through escalations as they arise
- Maintain a high level of integrity and empathy
- Maintain product expertise across ATG products and platforms
- Establish strong knowledge of clients’ industry news and trends
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Previously accountable for, have achieved, and often exceed revenue targets including retention, sales, and cross/upsell goals in a customer success management, account management, sales, or other customer-facing role that advises/consults clients
- Experience working with small to mid- sized clients, and/or startups and solopreneurs
- Understanding of the auction, ecommerce, or large construction/agricultural equipment sales business models (preferred)
- You demonstrate a balanced yet almost insatiable curiosity
- Strong listening, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills; strong ability to motivate and persuade others
- Experience owning customer relationships with a blend of moderate-to-low level of virtual face-to-face interactions
- Driven and action-oriented with a sense of urgency; an ability to perform effectively under pressure
- Ability to quickly build trusting relationships with customers and internal/external stakeholders
- Ability to create structure and process in ambiguous situations
- Self-motivated, proactive team player with innovative ideas that inspire customer loyalty and adoption
- Experience with Salesforce or other CRM tools
