Overview

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE(S) OF POSITION

Responsible for supplying material to and supporting masons involved with smoothing and finishing surfaces of poured concrete floors, walls, sidewalks, or curbs to specified textures.

KEY RESULT AREAS (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

  • Accountabilities
    • Preparation of pour areas
    • Lifting forms and assisting in their placement
    • Handling concrete delivery systems during pour (bucket, pump, slick line, power buggy, wheel barrow, telebelt)
    • Vibrating concrete to ensure consistency throughout
    • Placing, stripping, and transporting forms, raking concrete to assist finishers
    • Cleaning and oiling all forms
    • Loading, unloading, and carrying all rods, mesh, and materials used for concrete reinforcement
    • Curing post pour: spray cure, water sprinkles, blankets, heat/curtain systems
    • Assembly and cleaning of all equipment used in mixing or conveying concrete
    • Cleaning work area and restocking supplies and materials as necessary
    • All other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety regulations, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous construction experience is preferred but not required
