Position Summary:
We are looking for enthusiastic cashier/server who will provide a critical role in delivering an exceptional service our residents and guests.
Role and Responsibilities:

• Willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks with frequent interruptions
• Provide assistance in the preparation and service of meals
• Must understand and adhere to Garden Café dining service cash and key handling standards.
• Follow established opening and closing procedures, maintaining full and appealing retail stock, and dining room cleanliness as outlined by Westminster Village Café Cashier Training Manual.
• Take customer orders via POS system at the cash register, deliver food and beverages to customer tables, and occasionally deliver to resident homes for room-service.
• Consistently serve and clear in accordance with proper Garden Cafe standards, ensuring timely and efficient meal service for all.
• Effectively and accurately use the dining room POS system to take resident orders and handle cash, card, or dining dollar transactions in a timely, efficient, and friendly manner.
• Assist in setting buffets, plating of various foods and serving meals.
• Wash and store dishes.
• Assist in receiving and storing of food and supplies.
• Perform other department duties or special assignments as directed by the Garden Cafe Manager.
• Demonstrate a high level of sensitivity and interest in people, especially older adults.
• Ability to read, understand and follow recipe directions, and work assignments.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Food Handlers certification.

PHYSICAL DEMAND:

• Safely lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
• Stand for 8 or more hours a day.
• Able to lift and carry trays of food and beverages safely.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
