Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
Business Development
- Recognize opportunities to provide additional services, including cross-selling, to existing client base and participate in networking opportunities to secure new business leads
Client Service
- Always look for ways to help our clients and the firm improve processes and profitability and communicating suggestions to appropriate parties
- Embrace the SN Way of becoming our client’s most trusted advisor, creating client delight, and meeting service standards
- Provide month-end closing service to clients, including but not limited to, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank and credit card reconciliation, fixed asset tracking, loan accounting
- Prepare and/or oversee preparation of monthly financial statements using SN and client resources includingclerical/bookkeeping level personnel within both agencies.
- A problem solver for both the client and SN OAS. Identify the root cause of an issue and propose a solution to resolve it.
- Participate in the on-boarding process of new OAS clients
- Maintain a professional demeanor with all client interactions
- Occasional support of staff accountant to include the complete project cycle (project entry, billing, project related reporting)
Leadership
- Assist to train, develop, and educate staff
- Provide guidance to teammates, be approachable to any questions/inquiries, and ultimately help the team be successful
- Collaborate with internal staff or client staff to complete tasks as engaged by clients
- Ability to lead and manage client projects with minimal oversite

- Meet/exceed expected available and billable hour goals
- Model and embrace daily timekeeping, maintain a current calendar of assignments, and make daily decisions about priorities

Other
- Experience with Deltek Vision Required
- 5 Years of Experience in Accounting at or above a staff accountant level
- Ability to review financial reports balance sheets, profit and Loss statements and other reports to identify inconsistencies, errors, etc.
- Ability to reconcile financial discrepancies by researching and analyzing accounting data
- Knowledge of the entire accounting cycle from data entry to compilation of financial statements
- Experience in small business
- Self-motivated and positive attitude
- Strong organizational and computer skills (Microsoft products)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Desire for knowledge to keep skill set relevant
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information in appropriate manner
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
- Ability to interact with individuals at all levels and practice areas within the organization
