Overview:
Atlantic Health System is seeking a full-time Carpenter III for the Engineering department at Overlook Medical Center.
Responsibilities:
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
- Adheres to time schedules, dress code, dept policy/procedures.
- Participates in code red emergencies and accepts other duties as directed.
- Attends all required annual in-service as required by JCAHO.
- Demonstrates technical expertise in applying laminates and hardware to cabinets, countertops, desks, bookcases, and other special projects.
- Demonstrates ability to properly measure and fabricate and install interior and exterior projects.
- Demonstrates safe and proper techniques in using hand and power tools associated with shop activities.
- Utilizes personal protective equipment.
- Ensures the shop and work area are kept orderly and free from hazards at all times.
- Works from sketches to construct and fabricate work needed for projects and general carpentry work throughout the hospital.
- Ability to fill in as other mechanic whenever needed.
- Ability to work on doors and door hardware, push bars, panic hardware.
Minimum Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Vocational School or other field related experience
Minimum Experience:
- 3-5 years field related experience
