Assist residents with activities of daily Living (ADLs) such as showering, dressing and toileting ensuring residents under your care are content.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBLITY:

• Monitors vital signs and weights, keeps a record of this information.
• Reads assignments, reports, and service plans.
• Full physical care for residents Maintain resident elimination
• Responsible for completion of daily assignment.
• Promotes economical use of equipment and supplies.
• Cooperates with all other disciplines in providing optimum continuity of care.
• Transports, or walks with, residents to/from activities, as needed.
• Reports/documents all procedures, care, reactions, and other pertinent resident information, as needed.
• Participates in resident care planning and implementation.
• Assists with rehabilitation of residents according to the medical and nursing care plans
• Assumes own responsibility to demonstrate good body mechanics and proper use of gait belt for lifting or transferring residents.
• Is responsible for following safe practices in all areas of work.
• Helps keep resident rooms neat and clean.
• Participates in in-service programs and maintains continuing education requirements.
• Ability to anticipate the needs of residents.
• Must treat resident information in a confidential manner
• Exposure to body fluids and body waste
• Is required to perform any other duties or assume any other responsibilities as directed by department head or supervisor, or as is necessary to perform this job.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Certified Caregiver from the State of Arizona.
• CPR and First Aid Certification.
• Previous experience in a long-term care setting is preferred.
• Fingerprint Clearance Card.

PHYSICAL DEMAND:

• Willing to work beyond normal working hours, and in other positions, temporarily or when necessary
• Must be able to continuously stand and walk, squat, bend and lift 50 pounds
