Job description

We are currently seeking an individual who can take on the role of our Buyer. The individual will work in a project management and operation team environment, so a positive attitude and teamwork spirit is an essential. This position will require to be responsible for purchasing and negotiating materials, equipment, and supplies from vendors.

Job responsibilities

· Collect quotations from approved vendor list

· Negotiate price and lead time to minimize material cost

· Generate purchase orders and issue to venders with controlled documents

· Work with the inventory management team to ensure that all deliveries satisfy the assigned purchase orders and report any back-ordered or missing products

· Follow up with vendors for on time delivery and contact vendor for any quality issues

· Maintain MRP system and update material shortage list

· Support ISO 9001 audit(s)

· Follow up on obsolete parts with engineers

Skills / Qualifications

· 2-year association degree or B.S. in the related field

· Strong negotiating skills

· Ability to work well with a team

· Comprehensive understanding of MS Excel, MS word, and industry standard purchase order software platforms (Macola platforms is a plus).

· Knowledgeable in procurement process for Printed Circuit Board

· Knowledgeable in procurement process for electrical components and power supplies

· Knowledgeable in Bill Of Material for mechanical parts like cabinet, frame, racks, bezels

· Knowledgeable in vendor qualification process

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship

Salary: $40,292.19 - $60,000.00 per year
