JOB TITLE: Business Office Coordinator of Ocean’s Edge University

STATUS: Exempt

HOURS: Full-time (40 hours)

LOCATION: Fort Lauderdale

You must have an understanding of higher education, church ministry, creative arts, and the music industry. You will:

  • Create strategies, timelines, and budget alongside the Director to meet assigned Strategic Plan goals.
  • Ensure business systems for the college are functioning and accurate.
  • Develop and maintain Business Office systems and execution at a high customer service level.
  • Maintain student family communication regarding tuition and housing payments and financial aid.
  • Develop and maintain income and expense policies with accurate reporting.
  • Ensure a robust professional development system for staff and students.
  • Assign and ensure campus-wide communications regarding buildings, access, resources, and events.
  • Assist the Director in managing adjunct schedules, contracts and payments.
  • Liaise with Communications Team, Facilities Team, Events Team and church staff for room scheduling.
  • Provide and analyze statistics and data to measure the growth of Ocean’s Edge University and to develop the program and size.
  • Improve quality results in evaluating and redesigning processes and implementing changes.
  • Give public presentations about Ocean’s Edge University. This includes answering questions and developing favorable perceptions of Ocean’s Edge University and Calvary Chapel.
  • Teach courses on occasion and direct interns and student work opportunities as needed.

You have:

  • Previous experience and expertise in higher education, church ministry, creative arts industries.
  • Problem-solving skills that require no supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate relationships and build rapport.
  • Experience, confidence and ease at public speaking.
  • Experience with financial systems, including common financial software and those utilized at Ocean’s Edge University and our partner universities.
  • Understanding and proficiency in learning management systems, financial reports platforms and software.
  • Research skills, specifically with school statistics and relevant data to analyze and improve processes.
  • Ability to collaborate with all Ocean’s Edge University and Calvary Chapel staff.
  • Gifts of drive, servanthood, and simplicity to provide excellent support to the Directors Team, staff, students, parents, and community members.
  • A desire to see students’ lives transformed in a quality academic and Spirit-led discipleship environment.
  • A passion and understanding of the culture of Ocean’s Edge University and Calvary Chapel, including our comprehensive strategy of Vision 2023.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree.

What you are required to know:
  • We are an EEO employer.
  • You may have to bend, sit or stand for prolonged periods of time, lift, pull, push and/or move up to 35 lbs, especially necessary for transporting recruitment materials to college fairs and other events
  • This is a full-time (40 hours/week) hourly non-exempt position.
  • You may have to work evenings and/or weekends to assist with special events or emergencies.
