This position can be located in Monett, MO or Oklahoma City, OK.


About the Role:

We are looking for a dynamic Building Sales Representative to work in a professional sales environment to connect, network, and build relationships. With our current account list of architects, metal building dealers, brokers, contractors, vendors, and suppliers working on exciting commercial and residential projects throughout North America, we have more opportunities than we can effectively manage.

  • You will be an integral part of our metal building sales team to shepherd our customers through their metal building opportunities
  • The majority of leads are generated by building relationships with existing or past customers.
  • Immense potential focusing on a goal to increase quote-to-order win-rate through negotiation.
  • Position is a hybrid office, remote office with travel, as applicable, to effectively grow sales.
  • We offer you a salary plus uncapped commission opportunity, allowing you unrestrained earning potential.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Close Deals for Steel Tech Building Systems products to qualified North American customers.
  • Connect, network and build relationships with architects, contractors, vendors, and suppliers working on exciting commercial and residential projects.
  • Work collaboratively with other employees in sales, marketing, engineering and customer service departments.
  • Work closely with internal and external customers to accurately communicate deliverables for building project to meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Establish annual sales plans, forecasts, and budget to strategically target success and sales growth for assigned region and/or accounts.
  • Negotiate each opportunity to remove customer objections and win the order.

  • Ability to create and effectively present metal building proposals,
  • Ability to execute Sales Activities that have proven effective to grow sales.
  • Building, Construction, or related field industry experience
  • Interpersonal skills to communicate effectively across the organization and with customers.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Metal or Self-Storage Building industry experience.
  • CRM knowledge and experience,
  • Epicor ERP experience a plus,
  • General construction knowledge with understanding and ability to read Blueprints and/ or Architectural drawings,
  • Experience using Microsoft office suite programs,

Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • This job requires regular sitting, minimal lifting, and some typing.
  • Must be able to multitask while maintaining a focus on people and time management.
  • Must be willing to travel a moderate amount.
  • Interaction with multiple team members, customers, vendors, and consultants in person, through email and by phone.
  • Office environment, jobsite visits in outside conditions.
