Job description
We are looking for a Service Supervisor who is a highly motivated individual with extensive Overhead Crane Service Technician experience. As a Service Supervisor you are responsible for daily field operations at your assigned branch. The Service Supervisor answers all technical questions from their subordinates and works with the Operations Manager to ensure all operational and profitability goals within the Service Department are met at their branch.
This position requires a valid driver's license with no more than two (2) current moving violations.

Compensation: Base Hourly Rate, Overtime and Semi Annual Performance Profit Sharing Bonus.
Hours: 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM (+ early starts and regular OT as dictated by the position). Average weekly hours = 55

Tasks:
· Act as a sales department resource passing along RFQ and lead opportunities to the Operations Manager and appropriate Territory Sales Representative.
· Act as an additional Service Technician at your assigned branch on an as needed basis, including on-call schedule.
· Address disciplinary concerns including corrective action and termination within the Service Department at your branch.
· Delegate tasks to ensure the most effective and profitable use of time.
· Maintain an organized Service Department at your branch.
· Make operational recommendations to the Operations Manager.
· Manage client relations within the Service Department at your branch.
· Manage large worksites ensuring all operational and safety policies are followed.
· Manage multiple aggressive deadlines while providing quality products and services.
· Own the successes and failures of the Service Department at your branch.
· Participate in department and company management meetings on an as needed basis.
· Report safety concerns in a timely fashion to the Operations Manager and Human Resources department.
· Review scopes of work and provide recommendations/solutions for the Territory Sales Representatives at your branch.
· Solve problems with a “never impossible” mindset.
· Work with management to establish, track, and achieve Service Department goals.
· Work with the Project Coordination Department and the Operations Manager to adjust the schedule for your branch in a timely and profitable manner
Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
· Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
· Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
· High school diploma or GED required
· At least 4 years previous Crane Service Technician experience.
· Experience successfully managing multiple job sites.
· Previous electrical, mechanical, rigging and installation experience required
· Previous welding, CDL, supervisory, and job site management experience is a major plus.
· This position requires a valid driver license with no-more than two (2) current moving violations
· Mig, Tig, and Stick welding experience (a plus)
· Certified crane operator training (a plus)
· Certified electrician (a plus)
· Certified rigger (a plus)
· Hydraulic troubleshooting experience (a plus)
· OSHA 30 Hour training (a plus)
· Flexible schedule and willingness to work long hours when necessary.
· Problem solver with the ability to address any department concern.
· Team player who likes a competitive and rewarding environment.
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
· Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
· Regularly lift, move, or hold items weighing 80lbs. or more.
· Ability to obtain DOT certification and maintain re-certifications.
· Ability to travel (up to 30%).
· Work at height or in confined spaces for extended periods of time.
· Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone
