WonderWorks Orlando is looking for a Birthday Host to join our team! WonderWorks is an indoor amusement park for the mind with 40,000 square feet of “edu-tainment”. The attraction combines education and entertainment with more than 100 hands-on exhibits that challenge the mind and spark the imagination.

The Birthday Host provide parents with exceptional guest service and oversees the operations during birthday parties. Birthday Hosts are responsible for catering to guests during parties, communicating effectively to meet all their needs and maintaining company values.

Responsibilities:

• Set up events room to properly accommodate party guests
• Serve food and drinks to all party guests
• Ensure each person who is going into the building is accounted for and has been wrist banded
• Clean up as needed throughout the party
• Update all changes in Center Edge to reflect changes in the number of guests, additional food ordered etc
• Collect final payment
• Direct guests into exhibits area to enjoy the remainder of their time in the building
• Clean events room thoroughly wiping down chairs and tables
• Take all trash out to the dumpster
• Make sure all supplies for parties are stocked (paper plates, plastic silverware, paper towel dispensers, etc.)
• Be sure helium tank is turned off
• In the event a group is scheduled with lunch the host will be responsible for ensuring everyone has food and drinks and for cleaning the room when they are finished

Qualifications:

• Ability to stand, walk, use hands and/or fingers to operate register, and lift and/or move up to 25 pounds amid a moderate to loud work environment
• Conservational skills to recognize guest needs and ensure guest happiness
• Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday)
• Previous themed entertainment and sales experience is preferred
