New Bakery shop located in Brooklyn is looking for a Baker Assistant to help create baked goods.

• Bread baking production (baguette, croissant, buns, etc...) knowledge plus familiarity with common baking ingredients, measuring techniques, mixing methods, kitchen equipment, and baking
• Must be a self-starter, multitasking and able to work with minimal supervision
• Must be committed to maintaining and improving product quality and productivity.
• Proactive team player, who always look for ways to improve the way we work.
• Respectful, positive, team-oriented attitude with a problem-solving mindset.

Responsibilities

• Prepare baked goods: help with the creation of baked goods. Common actions include measuring ingredients, kneading dough, mixing by hand or with kitchen tools, taking items in and out of the oven, and placing goods on cooling racks.
• Monitor Supplies: you will monitor the stock of ingredients and other necessary items and refer to the general manager to place orders to restore inventory.
• Maintain housekeeping and sanitation standards on a regular [and] ongoing basis
• Present Ideas: You may suggest altering recipes or testing new ones to see what results.

Skills

• English language proficiency is preferred. French language is a plus
• Organization skills
• NYC Food Handler Certificate a must
