What will you be doing?

• On behalf of a global financial institution, develop and apply mathematical and statistical theory and methods to collect, organize, interpret, and summarize numerical data.
• Responsible for creating Valuations for the Acquisition team using Machine Learning statistical methods for all consumer card, business card and consumer lending portfolios.
• Update models with latest developments like new LLR calculation, IFRS9 and changing loss methodology.
• Perform qualitative and quantitative analyses for creating strategies in the following areas: credit underwriting, decisions marketing, channel optimization and targeting, product analytics, segmentation, Management Information and data management.
• Develop risk strategies including approve and decline decisions, credit line assignments and marketing offer optimizations.
• Continuously improve analytical techniques, evaluate and utilize new sources of data to upgrade valuation, decision making and targeting capabilities.
• Manage day to day activities of Acquisition Valuation Development and Production.
• Proactively work with Decision Science Analysts to ensure accurate valuations are produced in the stipulated time lines.
• Work with Finance, Decision Science, Risk and Fraud Teams to develop inputs to the valuations model.
• Responsible for ensuring all models pass regulatory requirements.
• Work with internal Barclays model validation team to ensure approval of all models per company policies.

What we’re looking for:

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Statistics, Economics, Engineering (any), or closely related field and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience as a Statistical Analyst, Data Scientist, Data Analyst, Risk Analyst, or related occupation. Must have education and experience with each of the following required skills: SQL; Python; Statistical Modelling; Regression Analysis; Excel; Conducting research and analysis of a wide range of tax issues related to business transactions and tax implications of financing techniques.
