The Psychiatrist will maintain a clinical caseload including seriously mentally ill clients who may also have a co-occurring dual diagnosis with substance abuse. The candidate will provide a wide variety of medical and psychiatric services to hospital population. Services include psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, referral and recommendation for services, crisis evaluations possibly requiring admission for hospitalization, follow up after hospital discharge, medication management and other medical and psychiatric duties as assigned, including:

· Completing initial Psychiatric evaluations.

· Identifying Mental Disorders and Best Treatments.

· Developing treatment plans.

· Coordination with healthcare professional team.

· Development of after care plans.

· Supporting patients loved ones, while informing them of patient’s condition(s), treatment plans.

The ideal Psychiatrist candidate will have the following experience and qualifications:

· Clinical practice experience in a Behavioral Health and/or Psychiatric Facility.

· Must be Board Certified.

· Current active and unrestricted licensure as an MD or DO Physician.

· Valid and unrestricted Federal/State registration to prescribe, dispense and administer controlled substances.

· DEA X Waiver for Suboxone through Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).

· Graduate from an approved medical degree program.

· Working knowledge of behavioral health and psychiatric management practices.

· Experience in Addiction Medicine.

· Excellent Communication Skills.

· Ability to take direction.
