Position Summary/Purpose of Position:
The Assistant Director of Student Conduct, as a member of the leadership team of the Office of Student Conduct, works collaboratively to manage academic integrity and student behavior, educate students on their roles as responsible and ethical citizens, and ensure accountability for those who fail to meet the expectations. The Assistant Director oversees violations of the Code of Academic Integrity and Code of Student Conduct, both in and out of the classroom, and ensures the management of administrative processes in a manner that insures the integrity of the adjudicative process, the maintenance of due process, the coordination of the student judiciary, and the security of students’ records.
The Assistant Director role will assume primary responsibility for the overall administration and management of the Student Honor Council and the resolution of academic misconduct, while collaboratively supporting the office to administer behavioral misconduct as well. The Assistant Director is one of five professional level staff members in the Office of Student Conduct and reports to the Associate Director. This position may supervise one – two full time staff members.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
A Master’s degree (or higher) in higher education, student affairs, counseling, or other related field is required.
Experience:
- A minimum of four years of full-time experience in a post-secondary institutional setting, specifically in student conduct administration; is required.
- Direct experience in judicial/disciplinary processes and student behavior management is required.
Preferences:
Preferences:
- Demonstrated application of student development theory and case law pertaining to student conduct administration;
- Proven ability to conduct investigations of misconduct and to provide a compassionate, caring approach to students;
- Familiarity with or direct experience in academic integrity processes
- Experience with advising and/or training student judicial board members
- Strong administrative skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to establish cross-curricular campus partnerships
- Strong adherence to professional and personal ethics.

Physical Demands
Work takes place in both an office environment and in on-campus buildings; will require ability to travel throughout campus. There may be occasions when the incumbent will need to work outside their normal work shift to accommodate other shifts that exist in the organization for purposes of meetings, training, etc.
