We are seeking an Assistant Contract Support Specialist for work on various transportation and infrastructure projects. The candidate will perform a variety of tasks and assignments related to oversight of the construction of roadways, transit, railroads, bridges and transportation related structures in accordance with design specifications and guidelines. The position will require travelling to job sites located within the Ft. Lauderdale/Miami Metro locations.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and edit documents, spreadsheets, and presentations using Microsoft Office software.
  • Gather and assemble materials necessary for document production.
  • Meet regularly with appropriate project personnel to discuss support needs.
  • Coordinate with vendors and subconsultants.
  • Maintain and update project files.
  • Exercise independent judgement to help relieve supervisor of clerical aspects of the project.
  • Responsible for assisting the Project Administrator in office-related duties (i.e., progress meetings, monthly and final estimates, EEO compliance, processing construction contract changes, data uploads, submittals tracking, staff certifications, etc.).
  • Assist with miscellaneous administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbally and in writing).
  • Minimum of two (2) years of administrative and/or contract administration experience working on projects in the Architecture/Construction & Engineering industry.
  • Experienced with standard work processing and data management software.
  • Must have any combination of Construction Training & Qualification Program (CTQPs) certificates including CTQP Final Estimates Level I.
  • Must have good communication skills and be able to maintain neat and accurate records.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safe work practices required.
  • Must be able to receive verbal and/or written instructions and perform tasks independently.
