We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Aquatics Training Manager to join our team at Catch the Wave Swim Club (CTW). As a Training Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring our program runs smoothly and that all swim instructors have the knowledge and skills needed to provide high-quality swim instruction to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Demonstrating expert proficiency across all CTW class levels and the ability to teach children of all ages and abilities.
• Filling in for team members when necessary.
• Performing student skill assessments and leveling students up appropriately.
• Navigating the class management software and assisting families with their accounts.
• Setting up training plans and issuing performance feedback to instructors.
• Modeling customer service best practices.
• Ensuing instructors uphold all CTW safety standards when teaching.
• Providing ongoing mentorship and support to new and existing instructors in order to ensure they are teaching to CTW standards.
• Performing opening and closing duties, filling out reports, and assisting with daily pool maintenance.
• Coming up with effective and creative solutions to help instructors navigate difficult classes.
• Assisting the aquatics director in regards to class scheduling and customer escalations.
• Overseeing instructor certification training and all development programs.
• Ensuring excellent class quality at all times and that all parental concerns are addressed promptly.

Qualifications:

• Experience as a certified lifeguard, youth sports instructor/coach, camp counselor and/or childcare provider.
• Managerial experience or related duties
• Bachelors or Associates degree preferred
• Experience designing and implementing training programs for instructors or employees in a related field preferred.
• Knowledge of swim instruction techniques, safety procedures, and regulations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with instructors, management, and owners.
• Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Passion for teaching, mentoring and training others.

Work Schedule:

• Monday: 2:00pm - 8:00pm
• Tuesday: 2:00pm - 8:00pm
• Wednesday: 2:00pm - 8:00pm
• Thursday: 2:00pm - 8:00pm
• Friday: Off
• Saturday: 7:30am - 3:00pm
• Sunday: Off
• ONE weekday morning shift - either Tuesday or Wednesday from 8:30am - 12:00pm

Requirements

• Ability to consistently work the schedule listed above
• At least 2-3 years experience as a certified lifeguard, youth sports instructor/coach, camp counselor and/or childcare provider.
• At least 1 year of managerial experience or related duties required
• High school diploma
• Good work history with references
• Clean background check
