DDES Crew Club- After School Programming
The Downtown Denver Expeditionary School (DDES) began the DDES Crew Club after-care program in our third year of operation (2016). We are a single-site, independently run child care program whose mission is to offer an enriching afterschool experience for all students who attend DDES. We aim to build upon the high-quality school culture that makes

Position Overview
The Crew Club Program Manager is primarily responsible for assisting with the organization, preparation, oversight, and administration of the DDES Crew Club. They will work closely with both program staff and DDES leadership to ensure the effective daily functions and operations of the after-school program. The Program Manager will also be responsible for supporting clasrooms during the school-day as a Teaching Assistant, or 1:1 student support, as needed.
Hours will be approximately from 10 am-6 pm., Monday-Friday. Manager will work alongside two other Program Managers and have direct oversight of 4-6 Crew Club Program Leaders & Teaching Assistants. This is a full-time, non-exempt position and requires approximately 40 hours a week.

● Must be at least 21 years old.

Position Responsibilities
Program Planning & Oversight:
● Accountable for ensuring and maintaining an emotionally and physically safe environment for DDES students in the after-school program.
● Responsible for assisting in all elements of programming, including program planning, preparation, implementation, student supervision, staff coaching and parent communication.
● Models expectations for appropriate student behavior and conduct.
● Resolves all student-related issues as they arise ; communicate and problem-solve with families.
● Assists in the organization and logistics for field-trips on early-release days and non-school days.
● Assist in student registration at the beginning of the year and maintaining new registrees throughout the year.
Staff Training and Coaching
● Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with staff in order to create a strong staff culture.
● Assist in the planning and leading of staff professional development and daily staff meetings.
● Available for coaching program staff on best practices and conflict resolution.
● Ability to effectively & appropriately communicate with all stakeholders involved in a school setting ie: children, parents, peers, leadership.
Administrative & Operational Duties
● Ensures the site is compliant with CDEC regulations and timelines.
● Monitors program compliance, including but not limited to student registration, ratios, & attendance tracking.
● Maintains accurate records on site (schedules, flyers, materials, etc.)
● Reports site injuries via appropriate avenues and immediately communicates incidents with appropriate DDES staff & parents.
● Tracks and cares for all equipment and supplies used throughout the program.
● Creates and distributes a schedule of all activities and ensures appropriate record keeping and reporting for all student attendance.
● Ensure students and their families are properly informed and prepared for all special events.

● Compensation for Program Manager position starts at $20.50-24.50/hr., depending on experience.
