Loyola Catholic School in Mankato, MN, is seeking a school-based After School Child Care Lead Teacher.

The After School Clubhouse Lead Teacher supervises the After School Clubhouse program while in session. The most important duties of the After School Clubhouse Lead Teacher are leading staff on duty, overseeing live operations, building relationships with the families, and supervising students. This position may be paired with another part-time position within the school if available.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain safety and inclusivity of the After School Clubhouse program while in session
• Supervises activities that encourage multi-aged interaction, social development and physical activity through indoor and outdoor play, and opportunities to grow creatively through arts and crafts
• Facilitate snack time
• Monitor student attendance (in and out times) on FACTS
• Monitor, support, and manage student behaviors subject to guidelines
• Regularly inform the Crusader Care Coordinator of activities, concerns, accidents, etc.
• Communicate regularly with parents, staff, and students
• Supervise and manage Clubhouse staff on duty (i.e. staff expectations, clean-up duties)
• Monitor student attendance to coordinate daily staff release times
• Order supplies and materials when needed
• Assist with planning and facilitating staff meetings, in-services, and professional development for staff
• Participate in scheduled trainings
• Promote teamwork, customer service and a positive image of the program to peers, children, parents, and the public at large
• Maintain confidentiality of all children and parents/guardians involved in Clubhouse
• Perform other duties, as assigned

Education/Experience (Minimum required)

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (Associates/Bachelors degree preferred)
• CPR Certified (or willingness to acquire)
• Experience working with children in a child-related field
• Experience managing or leading a team of coworkers

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Schedule:

• After school
• Monday to Friday
