Job description
The Administrative Coordinator will act as office manager to perform administrative, secretarial, and clerical tasks and provide support to the Department Chair and three Program Directors in a multi-disciplinary department with 600+ undergraduate majors, 130 graduate students, and 30 full-time and adjunct faculty. This position will manage department files, databases, and reports as needed, and process travel requests and travel vouchers. In concert with the Department Chair, will prepare budget revisions, track budget and department expenditures on Financial Records System (FRS), prepare faculty contracts and overloads, and process F3.1’s and hiring packets for new hires.
In collaboration with Program Directors and Chair, this position will help build course schedules and assist in classroom assignments, process requests for materials and supplies, and keep inventory of all equipment and maintain contracts on equipment. This position will also perform as liaison between faculty and students, and between university personnel and non-university contacts, and provide information to prospective students and exercise discretion in dealing with student problems. Perform other duties as assigned.

- HS Diploma, GED
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; Experience considered.
- Should have excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Should have advanced computer skills in all packages of MS Office and have knowledge of and experience in Banner.
- Work experience at college/university level is preferred.
- Must comply with established university standards and policies.
