Rooter Hero is a rapidly growing plumbing company looking for an Assistant in the Accounting Department. We are looking for someone who has experience in working in an accounting department and ability to talk to the clients. This person should be able to perform detailed work with numerical data, have ability to multi-task, and meet deadlines.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work on all open Accounts Payable
• Following up with clients on A/P accounts
• Match vendor bills to purchase orders
• Prepare Data Entry of new bills/invoices into Quick Books as they are received
• Copy all checks, save all checks and mail them
• Scan all accounts payable documents and checks and file by vendor name
• Verify data by comparing it to source documents
• Obtain documentation approval prior to all payments
• Works closely with accounting team
• File all accounting documents in a timely and organized manner
• Assist with any other tasks that are assigned.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

• 1-2 years of experience working in accounting
• Associates degree in Accounting or Accounting Certificate is desired.
• Knowledge of ADP payroll system is preferred
• Strong Excel Knowledge and accounting principles.
• Ability to perform detailed work with numerical data.
• Maintain an appropriate level of confidentiality regarding records of the Company
• Ability to multi-task, ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
