Location: Jersey City, NJ (remote position but needs to live with in 50 miles of Jersey City, NJ for occasional meetings).

JOB SUMMARY:

Account executives/underwriters provide excellent service by ensuring all client needs are met in a timely fashion. They engage in behaviors that not only maintain and increase client retention and customer satisfaction, but also focus on generating cross sell & account rounding opportunities. They build and maintain robust relationships through hard work, dedication, and working towards and understanding the client’s needs from a risk management/insurance perspective. In this role, account executives are asked to provide solutions that not only effectively protect the clients risk, but also identify and address newly emerging concerns in the cosmetic & personal care industry as they relate to insurance exposures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

This role is responsible for, although not limited to, the following job duties:

  • Managing the account life cycle: pre-renewal, renewal, post renewal, stewardship and visiting client as needed.
  • Working with team members at all levels to ensure client satisfaction. Pro-actively addressing client issues whenever Immediately addressing matters impacting customer satisfaction as they arise. Managing and growing underwriter relationships to ensure understanding of goals and expectations.
  • Managing day to day account transactions including additions/deletions of vehicles, property acquisitions, exposure changes, contract reviews, coverage analysis and program recommendations with intensive client interaction.
  • Underwriting i.e., review loss experience, exposures, identify potentials exposures and/or gaps in coverage
  • Master underwriting procedures and platforms, as well as strict adherence to underwriting guidelines
  • Submission of renewal business to various markets and maintaining a productive relationship with insurance company underwriters and staff. Working with Frenkel team members to execute all renewals in a timely Generation of accurate renewal submission, proposals, and timely handling of surplus lines filings.
  • Policy Adminstration: Checking policies, coverage analysis, checking endorsements and due diligence review for clients during mergers and aquistions; and policy audits.
  • Seek out new business through referrals, cross-selling and account rounding.
  • Effectively managing preparation and production of all elements of presentations for client meetings and properly representing the compan Attending client meetings, addressing client questions and identifying next steps as appropriate.
  • Benchmarking (as needed) and presenting quotes to clients including recommendations for enhancing the insurance program.

ADMINISTRATIVE FUNCTIONS:

  • Invoicing of agency and direct bills.
  • Coordinating with the Frenkel Accounting Department on billing issues.
  • Accounts Receivable collection.
  • Certificate of insurance & Auto ID Card Issuance

REPORTS AND DATABASE MANAGEMENT:

  • Document client activity in Sagitta & Paper Wise.
  • Provide status progress reports to Frenkel managers and clients.
  • Complete weekly Account Renewal Status/Marketing Report/Database Update

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years brokerage experience as an Account Executive role preferable.
  • Knowledge of general liability, workers' compensation, property, crime, inland marine, group automobile,fiduciary and related lines of business.
  • Knowledge of the insurance carriers risk appetite and industry preferences, i.e., AIG, Allianz, Chubb, CNA, Hanover, Hartford, Liberty Mutual, Travelers, XL Catlin, Zurich, etc.
  • Rating Engine proficiency
  • Ability to develop innovative and customized business solutions.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and with confidence to C-Suite in various industries.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong negotiation and organizational skills.
  • Strong computer skills including MS office suite, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience on Sagitta and Paper Wise Systems preferred.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • College degree in Insurance or related field preferred.
  • New Jersey or New York P&C Producers license.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to go out on client calls, both local and possibly out of state.
  • Ability to handle basic office procedures i.e., answering phones, work on computer/laptop, move files no more than 5 - 10 lbs.
  • Ability to work extra hours during the heavy renewal periods.
