• MS Word, Teams and Outlook experience

• Intermediate to advanced Excel proficiency

• Maintain focus and multitask in a busy environment.

• Organizational skills sufficient to maintain consistently accurate records.

• State Registered Pharmacy Technician +/- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT). Pharmacy can expedite registration for qualified applicant.

• Pharmacy technician, accounting, database management experience preferred

• Ability to evaluate options and to make efficient decisions.

• Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Communicates effectively with customers, referring physician staff, and colleagues/employees of organization
• Ability to interact and communicate with people over the phone, sometimes in stressful situations

• Reads and accurately interprets documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

Responsibilities:

• 
  Understand and be capable of completing 340B prescription processing, billing and all standard pharmacy technician responsibilities.

• Communicates with patients, pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and patient’s provider +/- caregivers to conduct enrollment into patient care management program and follow-up continuation of care and screening assessments with prescription refills.

• Oversee record keeping so that all information is accurate, complete, and manage the flow of up-to-date information between customer service, patient care team and other parts of the company, such as the accounts receivable, accounts payable and billing.

• Maintain a roster of eligible covered entities, provider list and active wholesaler accounts.

• Correctly identify prescriptions that are 340B eligible during intake, denote the 340B covered entity in the pharmacy software and process the prescription using stock from the covered entity’s 340B inventory.

• Maintain up to date inventory counts and separation of stock for each 340B covered entity.

• Update and maintain accurate pricing and NDCs for 340B pharmacy drugs in the dispensing software.

• Dispense and package prescriptions under the direction of the on-duty pharmacist.

• Provide monthly reconciliations of 340B prescription claims per covered entity.

• Communicate and coordinate prescription refills with patients, providers and pharmacy staff.

• Communicate patient information necessary to schedule medical / pharmacy services.

• Determine correct resolution to patient complaints; take corrective action and monitor results.

• Maintains system databases to reflect changes in the drug formulary or product specifications.

• Participate in company committees when requested.

• Participate in in-service education programs provided by the company.

• Pursue continuing education programs appropriate to job responsibilities.

• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

• Ensure compliance with all licensure and federal, state, and local laws and regulations; observe the company’s policies on ‘’best practices’’.

• Report any misconduct, suspicious or unethical activities to the Compliance Officer.

• Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner in all interactions with patients, providers and vendors.
