Bilingual Therapies is seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team for the upcoming 2023-2024 school year in Elkton, Maryland. As an SLP, you will play a vital role in helping students overcome communication and language challenges, enabling them to reach their full potential academically and socially.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive speech and language assessments to students and develop individualized treatment plans
• Conduct therapy sessions using evidence-based practices to address speech, language, and communication disorders
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' communication skills in the classroom and other environments
• Monitor progress and make adjustments to therapy plans as needed
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of assessments, treatment plans, progress reports, and other relevant records
• Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to contribute to the development and implementation of students' educational plans
• Stay updated on current research, trends, and best practices in the field of speech-language pathology

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
• Valid Maryland state license (or eligibility for licensure) as a Speech-Language Pathologist
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
• Experience working with school-aged children is highly desirable
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to create and implement engaging therapy activities to address a wide range of communication disorders
• Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards in speech-language pathology
