Disney’s California Adventure
SOUTHWEST VACATION DAY 5 :: ANAHEIM, CA :: The photo above shows us a split-second before falling 13 floors down an elevator shaft in the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror! That was fun, as was the rest of California Adventure. If we could visit only one of Disney’s theme parks in Anaheim, we’d choose California Adventure over Disneyland. Rides like The Tower of Terror, Soarin’ Over California, Grizzly River Run, and the Californian Screamin’ coaster are definitely designed for adults. There are some kiddie rides, and we enjoyed them too, especially the “Bug’s Life” 3D show that made Kristie jump out of her chair. The California theming was very well done. Instead of hearing “It’s a Small World” over and over again through the park’s speakers, we heard the tune for “California Girls” by the Beach Boys (but I prefer to think it was David Lee Roth’s version). As in Disneyland, we used RideMax and FastPasses again to avoid most of the lines.
