World-renowned residential treatment center seeking a Yoga Instructor.

As part of the experiential therapy team at Sierra Tucson, Yoga Instructors lead the practice as an effective component for individuals who are struggling with a range of behavioral health challenges. Successful instructors fully understand and encourage the relationship between yoga and its integration into the individual resident’s treatment program for long-term recovery.

A Yoga Instructor is primarily responsible for planning and supervising yoga activities for patients and residents. The essential functions of a Yoga Instructor include:

  • Maintenance and upkeep of all related yoga equipment.
  • Maintaining patient records as necessary.
  • Assisting in developing individualized yoga/fitness programs for patients.
  • Communicating as needed with program staff.

Qualifications/Preferences

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or a related field.
  • Yoga Certification.
  • Additional certification in advanced practices, trauma yoga or other muscle skeletal practices (Chi Kung, Capoeira, dance, personal training, etc.) Preferred

  • A valid Finger Print Card required.
  • First Aid, CPR, and De-escalation/Restraint certification required (with training available upon hire).
