Job Title: Lean Manufacturing Specialist

We are searching for a lean manufacturing expert to work within the site’s steering committee to contribute to the definition and implementation of the Site’s Road Map World Class site. He/She deploys the Lean culture and actively participates in the performance improvement and development of the site. This position reports directly to the Quality and World Class Manager.

Responsibilities:

• In conjunction with the site Management team, budget and strategic plans, the site’s World Class plan in relation to the Saft strategy and site priorities (VSM, Gemba observations, KPI, measurement of Lean maturity, etc.).
• Analyze the performance of the site and propose improvement projects in liaison with the site World Class Manager.
• Leads Lean manufacturing workshops (VSM, Hoshin, TPM, SMED, Quality, etc.).
• Develop the means of supporting the operational activity of the site by proposing and implementing lean routines throughout the facility.
• Contribute to the digitization and automation of processes.
• Develop the Lean network through the implementation of training, coaching and support.
• Develop the “Gemba” culture within the company and the management of performance on a daily basis the problem-solving culture on a daily basis the culture of continuous improvement at all levels of the company.
• Evaluate the level of maturity of the site and offer improvement solutions.
• Communicate and promote World Class practices and activities through different channels of communication and networks within the company.
• Contribute developing Saft communities, creating standards and sharing best practices.

Requirements:

• Engineer or equivalent with a minimum of 10 years of industrial experience, implementation of lean manufacturing and methods in the automotive sector. Experience in TPS and Toyota Way. Knowledge of Lean Office.
