Position Overview:

As a Program Manager, you will be responsible for being a key member of the team that supports Wine technology program and students in order to. In this role, you will represent the college, the program, and the students.

What you will be working on:

  • Formulate, advise and implement program policies and procedures; establish procedures to implement new programs or activities in compliance with federal, state and district guidelines and regulations.
  • Review Wine Technology programs and recommend changes, modifications and expansion with appropriate documentation and analysis.
  • Develop cost estimates, prepare budget requests or revisions and project future needs. Review estimates and monitor expenditures and purchases related to the program. Approve expenditures within approved budget line items.
  • Review income/expense, statistical, and budget status reports and advise Dean of financial status of programs and of problem areas.
  • Responsible for maintaining compliance with Federal, State, District and College regulations, policies and procedures and ensure all permits, licenses, and certificates are current. Submit TTB label approvals; complete Federal and State production-related reports.
  • Manage purchasing, receiving, and inventory control including quarterly physical counts, wholesale distribution, and classroom samples.

What you bring as a candidate:

(Any Equivalent Combination of Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education and Experience)

  • Associates degree and at least five years of professional experience in a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in accordance of policies, procedures, and federal and state regulations.
  • General knowledge of winemaking production and sales channels.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills and ability to approach complex issues and relationships with courtesy, patience and confidentiality. Ability to create strong teams.
  • Excellent verbal, listening and written communication and customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated experience with working effectively with persons from diverse backgrounds, such as racial, ethnic, religious, gender, sexual orientation, socio-economic, and diverse physical and learning disabilities.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to perform range of physical motions, exerting up to 25 pounds; lifting and carrying up to cases of wine short distances; standing, walking, sitting for long periods of time, kneeling, squatting, and stooping.
