Responsibilities

The Jackson R. Lehman Family YMCA is seeking an enthusiastic and energetic part-time Wellness Coordinator to join our team. They are responsible for assisting the Senior Program Director with the planning and daily operations of the programs and events.

• Connect: Have a warm, engaging, and friendly demeanor that can connect quickly with members, program participants, and staff.
• Serve: Assist, plan, and implement daily activities with regard to the Wellness Center, Group Exercise, Personal Training, Wellness Coaching and Active Older Adult programming.
• Lead: Supervise exercise staff while maintaining a safe and clean exercise environment.

Requirements

Candidates must be committed to contributing to the mission, culture, and values of the YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne as well as:

• Minimum of 21 years of age.
• Reliable transportation to attend work.
• Able to fulfill all demands and skills in spirit and mind in accordance with YMCA standards.
• Experience in the health and fitness industry with either a degree, certification or other health-related experiences.
• Team player with a positive, personable, servant-oriented attitude.

Salary: Part-time $13.00 - $13.50 hourly

Hours Available: Flexible hours for daytime, evening and possible weekends
