Responsibilities:
Warehouse Supervisor
Role Purpose: Supervises workers in a warehouse including shipping and receiving. Coordinates a team that ships, receives, stores and distributes materials, equipment and/or supplies. Monitors operations for compliance with regulations governing materials handling, storage and distribution where applicable. Other duties may be assigned as dictated by business needs.
Key Competencies:
- Expert knowledge of material handling and warehousing
- Certified forklift operator and/or trainer
- Load and unloading of trucks containing raw materials and finished goods
- Placement of raw materials and finished goods in assigned areas
- Maintain warehouse area
- Rectifies discrepancies between documentation and actual product deliveries/shipments
- Expert knowledge of shipping software
- Perform cycle counts
- Pull, stage, wrap pallets and load trucks for shipment
- Calculate weight and dimensions for LTL classification
- Repeatedly move product using pallet jacks and fork trucks
- Conducts yearly reviews of direct reports
- Other duties and tasks as assigned by your manager/supervisor based on business need.
Qualifications:
- Communication skills- Able to listen and converse with all coworkers
- Ability to read and interpret work orders and perform basic math
- Able to be on your feet for entire shift with occasional twisting, bending or lifting a weight of up to 40 lbs.
- HAZMAT certification a plus
- 3-4 years of experience
- Decision-making skills, Planning skills, Project Management skills
- Oral and written communication skills
