Title: Vice President / Trading Strategist II

Responsibilities

• Assess complex derivatives pricing models to provide management transparency for the trading desk.

• Develop relevant stress scenarios for various asset classes to determine potential losses in various stress market conditions.

• Analyze large sets of risk data to dissect portfolio dynamics, market trends and client behaviors.

• Analyze risk‐adjusted returns, correlation, and volatility using various financial instruments.

• Collaborate with others in the organization to ensure successful implementation of chosen problem solutions.

• Prepare management reports defining and evaluating problems and recommending solutions.

• Define data requirements and gathering and validate information, applying judgment and statistical tests.

• Observe the current system in operation and gathering and analyzing information about each of the parts of component problems, using a variety of sources.

• Educate staff in the use of mathematical models.

• Review market risk positions.

• Analyze on key risks and proposing appropriate market risk limits.

• Review risks related to non‐standard or structured trades and new products.

• Analyze and summarize large data sets to identify and evaluate problems and recommend solutions.

• Perform regression analysis or backtest trading strategies on financial instruments such as bonds, loans, equity and derivatives.

• Generate statistical analysis to design and support risk limit frameworks and/or stress testing.

• Build out and support reports to understand market trends and monitor exposure under different market conditions.

Required Skills & Experience

• Master's degree or equivalent in Quantitative Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, or related; and

• 3 years of experience in the job offered or a related quantitative occupation.

• Must include 3 years of experience in each of the following:

• Analyzing and summarizing large data sets to identify and evaluate problems and recommend solutions;

• Performing regression analysis or backtesting trading strategies on financial instruments such as bonds, loans, equity and derivatives;

• Generating statistical analysis to design and support risk limit frameworks and/or stress testing; and,

• Building out and supporting reports to understand market trends and monitor exposure under different market conditions.
