Summary

The VP of Finance & Accounting Services oversees all financial related matters of the company and acts as a fiscal steward to ensure the financial mission of the company is achieved. The VP of Finance & Accounting Services helps to lead the financial strategy of the company and contribute to the development of the company’s strategic goals. In addition to the strategic components, the VP of Finance and Accounting Services will develop and implement policies and procedures aiding in the growth and operational health of the company. The position will report to the Chief Financial Officer.


Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the VP of Finance and Accounting Services include directing all aspects of finance and accounting operations including:

  • Preparing income statements, balance sheets and cash flow on a monthly basis
  • Leading and managing all aspects of the Company’s annual financial audit(s)
  • Leading and managing all aspects of treasury operations including daily cash management, monthly debt reporting and quarterly debt compliance (as required).
  • Participating in the financing process for new and existing debt as required.
  • Analyzing the company's financial results with respect to profits, trends, costs and compliance with budgets and forecasts and recommending actions to improve the performance.
  • Developing and maintaining all necessary accounting policies and systems, including general ledger and financial reporting. Ensuring that records are maintained in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Leading annual budget and monthly financial planning activities.
  • Managing all tax planning and compliance activities with respect to federal, state, local, property and other applicable taxes.
  • Developing the accounting and finance department to support business scale and team member career development.
  • Interacting with private equity partners and board of directors periodically.
  • Play a key leadership role in preparation and participation in the Audit Committee meetings.
  • Developing and coordinating all relationships with lending / financial institutions.
  • Evaluating merger and acquisition and Joint Venture opportunities and leading financial diligence as required.
  • Marketing the company to new investors as required.
  • Other finance and administrative duties as required.

Qualifications

  • 15+ plus years of managerial accounting and financial management experience.
  • Experience working with private equity backed companies is required.
  • Healthcare experience is required.
  • Recent experience in companies with at least $100M in revenue. Managed in similar capacities in middle market companies is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business. CPA required; MBA preferred but not required.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Service oriented mindset with demonstrated experience in managing a variety of stakeholders.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to work without direct supervision, and efficiently manage tasks and time.
  • Merger and acquisition finance experience required.
