Vice President, General Manager

As Vice President/General Manager you will oversee the operations of our Warren, MA location. Reporting directly to the CEO you will oversee all aspects of the manufacturing operations. You will develop and implement strategies to optimize production processes, ensure quality standards are maintained, and meet business objectives. You should have a strong track record of delivering results, managing cross-functional teams, and developing and implementing successful strategies. You Will:
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize production processes and meet business objectives, while ensuring quality standards are maintained
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing plant, including production planning, inventory control, and logistics
- Ensure that manufacturing operations comply with all safety and environmental regulations
- Develop and implement cost-effective solutions to improve efficiency and reduce waste
- Develop and manage budgets, financial forecasts, and financial reporting
- Hire and develop a team of managers and supervisors to ensure that production targets are met, and employees are motivated and engaged
- Partner with cross-functional teams to drive innovation, continuous improvement, and best practices
- Lead with compassion and understanding while demanding performance to established plans and goals
- Take risks and learn from setbacks
- Utilize ethical and moral standards of business conduct while navigating any potential conflicts of interest in foreign business environments
Job Requirements:
You Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field
- 15+ years of experience in manufacturing operations management, with 10+ years in a senior management position
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple functions, such as production, engineering, logistics, quality, and safety
- Experience managing budgets, financial forecasting, and reporting
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and process optimization methodologies
- Familiarity with quality standards equivalent to ISO9001:2015, AS9100 Rev. C, and API Q1
- Background in Operations and Program/Project Management, LEAN Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement
- Experience working with Labor Unions
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
- Willingness and ability to travel abroad and set up "green field" operations in low-cost regions of the world
- Navel experience preferred
