HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO

Are you looking for a long-term position with a stable company? Want to be on solid ground, work with your hands and drive equipment for your career? Be an Underground Miner! You can’t get anything more solid than that! This position will be responsible for underground mining.

• Work safely and follow all federal and state laws and regulations as well as company and site-specific policies
• Willing to work in an underground environment
• Safely and efficiently operate the roof bolter in an underground environment
• Visually evaluate roof and rib conditions
• Communicate repair and safety issues to the supervisor and/or mechanic
• Work weekends and overtime as business demands dictate
• Perform within the guidelines of federal, state, and local regulatory agencies.
• Other job duties as assigned.
• Safely and efficiently operate a mechanical scaler in a tight, underground environment
• Conduct and document pre-operational safety inspections on assigned equipment

This position will be based in McCook, IL

HERE’S WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• High school diploma or GED
• Prefer 2 years prior heavy equipment experience
• Experience working in an underground mine environment
• Frequently lift 50 pounds; occasionally lift to 75 pounds.
• MSHA Part 48 training a plus
• Must pass ATF background investigation
• Complies with all federal, state, and local guidelines.
