The Sonographer manages and performs all abdominal, gynecological, obstetrical, small parts, peripheral vascular and cerebrovascular ultrasound examinations.
- Demonstrates excellent comprehension and knowledge of anatomy and disease and can communicate this to the Radiologist.
- The Sonographer is trained in the appropriate use of color Doppler techniques and other advanced imaging techniques.
- The Sonographer is capable of working independently to obtain all necessary clinical information for the Radiologist to make a diagnosis.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Certificate or Registry of Diagnostic Imaging accredited program
- Registered ARDMS or ARRT(US)
- Vascular experience required, registry (RVT, CCI, or ARRT-Vascular US) required within 6 months of hire.
- American Heart Association BLS for Health Care Providers
- Proficient computer skills
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing
