Job description

This posting is placed by Taylor Postal Contracting, Inc., established in 1931. We're a private mail hauler looking for a casual driver for local straight truck trips. Casual drivers fill in for full-time drivers as needed, due to vacations, illness, etc. Some weeks may have no hours, while others could be 40+ hours. This job could be a good fit for a retiree or someone who prefers part-time employment. This position will not develop into a regular full-time job. Mail is transported in rolling containers. A CDLB is required for this work. No logging is required.

Job Requirements: Applicants must have paid straight truck driving experience and a Class B CDL, an acceptable MVR and background check. MVR and background checks are required for this position. Drivers for this position must have a cell phone with texting capabilities.

Pay and Benefits: Pay rate is $30.46 per hour. Other benefits include two weeks paid vacation after one year on the job, three weeks after 10 years, and four weeks after 15 years. The above rates include ten paid holidays.
