Purpose

The Driver/Operator is responsible for safely driving a single axle dump truck with a trailer and moving/operating milling equipment. This position will also assist with laborer duties on job sites and requires a Class A Certified Driver's License (CDL).

Job Responsibilities

• Drive a single axle dump truck with a trailer.
• Operate milling machinery and other job site preparation equipment.
• May operate a variety of equipment dependent upon skill set.
• Performs a variety of tasks associated with paving operations including job site labor duties.
• Participates in cross training activities.
• Operates all equipment and tools according to safety procedures and performs all manual labor activities in a safe manner.

Education/Experience

• 2+ years experience working on a paving crew.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Additional education a plus.

Skills and Specifications

• Class A Certified Drivers License
• Thorough understanding of various aspects of the paving industry and all types of paving equipment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills. Experience working in a team environment.
• Ability to bend, crouch, and stand for long periods of time.
