Job description

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Acts as a key contact for all issues related to on-boarding and monitors progress; works with designated schools, candidates/new hires, and the NYC HR team.
  • Supports a seamless new hire pre-employment and on-boarding efforts via different means of interfacing with candidates and new hires.
  • Gathers necessary paperwork, helps new hires with understanding the onboarding process including new hire trainings and scheduling start dates.
  • Manages calendar for onboarding activities/events, welcomes new hires with prepared onboarding kits, schedules appointments and meetings, and tracks host school’s onboarding staffing roster.
  • Assists with onboarding support sessions and performs outreach to candidates/employees via different modalities.
  • Provides continual professional contact with general new hire instructions for pre-employment processing.
  • Any related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • At least two years of administrative experience required.
  • Strong organizational customer service and communication skills a must.
  • Must work well under pressure, take initiative, and work independently.
  • Strong writing skills are required.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g. MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Must have strong attention to detail and desire to work in fast paced environment.
  • Need to be flexible and meet deadlines.

OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Must demonstrate positive and enthusiastic attitude toward internal and external customers. Must be flexible and available to work during the summer months.

PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT/WORKING CONDITIONS:

Must be willing to travel to all designated locations; needed coverage area (Long Island, Bronx, Manhattan, Staten Island, Westchester County, Rockland County, Orange County).

Light lifting, walking, climbing stairs.

Most programs are in school settings.
