Tour Guide/ Beach Rental Attendant

JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for outgoing and reliable tour guides that want to deliver a fun, educational, and entertaining experience for our guests. We are willing to train the candidate that has the right work ethic and attitude. We are looking for full-time guides that can work any day of the week and, most importantly, MUST be available on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, as well as some holidays. Tour guides are expected to comply with all local, company, and state required regulations regarding the operation of adventure tours including maintaining first aid and CPR certifications. Tour guides must be physically able to operate a kayak, SUP, bicycle, and motorized watercraft (with training). Additional duties will include beach set ups and rental deliveries.

REQUIRED:

-- MUST have a valid driver’s license and be over the age of 21

-- MUST have a 3-year clean driving record (NO DUIs within 5 years)

-- MUST be able to pass a drug test

-- MUST agree to background check

-- MUST have the ability to work holidays, weekdays, weekends, and outdoors

-- MUST have the ability to deal with physical demands of the position

-- MUST have the ability to comply and enforce all local, company, and state required regulations, as to ensure the safety of guests at all times

-- MUST maintain standard first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certifications

-- MUST have the ability to multitask between paperwork, email communication, cell phone communication, and computer usage

Responsibilities:

• Ability to manage and guide guests of up to 14 people
• Greet guests in a courteous and professional manner
• Understand and speak to history, knowledge, and facts about the location
• Create positive customer relations
• Assemble necessary equipment and supplies
• Instruct and demonstrate related skills and techniques
• Respect and maintain natural resources

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Additional health and safety training is an asset
• Ability to work in teams and independently
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent instructional skills are required
• Good organizational skills
• Working knowledge of terrain, environment and local area
• Good customer relations skills
• Some specialties require special training or certification
