We are in search of a Therapies/Rehab Consultant in the Kansas City area.

Rate: $55 - $65 per hour W2.

Job Description:

• The Rehab Consultant is responsible for driving the client through design of clinical and business process, solution and technology workflow, and successful adoption that will lead to achieved value.

• Through the use of Cerner’s implementation approach and methodology, the Consultant will assist in change management, help identify opportunities for improvement, and is accountable for achieving the project’s targeted outcomes.

• The Consultant will provide expert industry knowledge in complex client environments; contribute in a leadership capacity to advance the solution and its effectiveness; consult with clients and project teams to recognize and document benefits; provide gap analysis and process redesign recommendations, support client and project teams; develop associate domain expertise (clinical, revenue and operational) and consulting skills; consults with client to develop and apply appropriate policies and procedures.
  

Qualifications:

• The third party rehab consultant needs to know all build tools and design and build workflows for Cerner Millennium.
• Lead consultant on the project.
• Must have build experience.
• Must have experience being the lead on a project from start to finish on an implementation.
• Has participated in multiple phases of an integrated health system implementation.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills.
• Strong understanding of healthcare strategy, operations and ability to adjust to changing industry regulatory requirements.
• Strong process analysis skills and ability to work in a team and collaborative environment.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Rehab subscription content.
• IRF-PAI and FIM knowledge (regulatory reimbursement methods, part of the workflow).
• Need implementation, design and build experience.
• 2-5 years of experience in Healthcare or Information Systems.
• Strong understanding of healthcare strategy, operations and regulatory requirements; experience dealing with varying healthcare organizations including integrated delivery networks community hospitals, academic and children's hospital systems and governmental entities.
• Understanding of complex data sets; ability to standardize and create meaningful analytics (financial, process and risk analysis).
• Experience leading and/or facilitating organizational change.
• Cerner Millennium end user experience.

Additional Skills:

• Responsible for data collection and build of rehab therapies orderables, reports, charging, scheduling, add appt +, etc.
• Heavy focus on training SMEs and SUs and assisting in workflow development for therapists and therapy assistants. Will be holding weekly calls with the client and traveling onsite at least 6-8 times during the project.
• Needs to be familiar with all Cerner based rehab workflows and Cerner build tools.
• Needs to be diligent and able to use the Cerner resources available to find answers to questions.
• Needs to be able to recognize escalations and follow processes detailed out for consulting in CommunityWorks.
• Also should be able to consult to other types service lines as well and use context clues to assist in workflow development - cardiac rehab, pulmonary rehab, outpatient infusions, wound care, dialysis, etc.
