We are currently seeking a Automation Test Lead (Life Insurance) - REMOTE to join our team! This position is fully remote and can be based anywhere in Canada.

Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Responsible for improving overall quality assurance outcomes through planning and execution of manual testing across multiple software development projects to ensure that the design and software adhere to company standards
  • Lead QA efforts for one or more project teams and implement testing strategies, resulting in efficient test development and execution practices that are required for successful delivery
  • Work with other QA engineers to deliver the project on time and with top-notch quality
  • Act as a go-to person and SME on multiple applications for projects
  • Provide support to stakeholders for the test requirements, test results analysis/clarifications, etc.
  • Mentor other QA team members. Includes coordinating all testing activities with onsite and offsite QA teams.
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate required testing activities
  • Establish quality goals, metrics, and develop new tools/processes to ensure the quality goals are met
  • Actively participate in the design, delivery, and execution of manual test scripts to validate functional business requirements by defining preconditions, case steps, success criteria, etc
  • Review test scripts/cases with developers and product managers to ensure consistency and adherence to functional requirement documents
  • Follow standard testing procedures and provide recommendations for improvement. Remain at the forefront of emerging industry best practices

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 7+ years of Software QA Engineering experience in delivering software testing projects in Insurance Domain ( Specially in TPA – Third Party Administration)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Strong knowledge of Quality Assurance life cycle, methodologies, and best practices
  • Experience with SQL
  • Experience with ALM and JIRA for defect management
  • Agile work experience with scrum / sprints management skills
  • Ability to react quickly in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Strong planning, organizational skills, and attention to detail with a focus on attaining high-quality deliverables
  • Strong team player and ability to collaborate effectively with project team members across onsite and offshore teams
  • Ability to lead, mentor and set the direction for other QA engineers
  • Ability to take full ownership of assigned responsibilities, and appropriately prioritize
