We’re looking for a tenacious amphibian enthusiast to step into a temporary full-time position as an Amphibian Keeper (Tree Frogs) in our Animal Department! As a member of the Animal Department, you’ll ensure we provide excellent care for our critters and that they produce healthy offspring for sale. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting in egg and tadpole care, maintaining excellent husbandry of adult frogs, and working at trade shows across the country. • Temporary, timespan indefitine
• Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5:30 PM
• $15.00/hour

Day-to-day tasks include:

• Caring for all frog lifecycles; eggs, tadpoles, froglets, subadults and adults
• Cleaning and creating tanks
• Attending reptile shows/expos
• Prep tasks
• Meetings and team-building
• Maintaining work area cleanliness

In this position, you will help solve the following issues:

• Provide high-level care to animals while maintaining efficiency
• Improve efficiency in tasks
• Support team and division through basic care tasks

For this position, you MUST possess:

• Passion for herpetology
• Hands-on experience with frogs
• High attention to detail
• An excellent work ethic
• A positive, outgoing attitude
• Strong communication skills

Special consideration is given to those with:

• Tree frog breeding experience
• Amphibian husbandry experience
• Professional herpetology experience
